Shell Cottage is located at the far western end of the Penwith peninsular in Cornwall. It is eight miles to the west of Penzance which is the nearest town.
Penzance is serviced by both train and coach from all parts of the U.K.
Take the M5 and then the A30 right through Penzance and towards Land's End. About 3 miles after Penzance take the B3283 which is signed towards the Minack Theatre.
Continue straight through the village of St. Buryan and after another two miles you come to a very steep hairpin bend which has a clear view of the sea below. Go round the bend, down the hill and half-way up the other side where there is a very sharp turn to the left, which takes you into Penberth valley. The Thatched Cottage is on the left of the road, just after a small bridge, and Shell Cottage is right down at the sea on the left.

It is probably best to take a taxi for the final run between Penzance and Shell Cottage, and as the nearest shop is not very near, we suggest you ask the taxi to stop at the excellent village shop in St. Buryan, which is right on your route, and collect some groceries for your stay
We recommend Philip Prowse who charges about £15 from Penzance Station to Shell Cottage, and can be booked in advance by ringing 01736 871786 or 07740 407536
